Does Purl House have a physical storefront?
At this time, Purl House is online-only. Our end goal is to grow into a physical location. Every online order will help get us one step closer to that goal.
In the meantime, we are trying to emulate the convenience of in-store shopping by offering same/next day delivery to local addresses. Check out more details below.
Also! Keep an eye on our social media for our participation at any local vendor fairs.
How does local delivery work?
It is really just us dropping your order off to your door like a pizza delivery!
Most orders are delivered same or next day, but please allow up to a maximum of 3 business days for delivery. You will receive an email notification when your order is on the way and again once it has been dropped off.
In the event that we will be unable to drop off in the given timeframe, your order will be shipped via Canada Post expedited parcel at no additional cost to you.
Orders are left at the front door unless otherwise instructed. If your delivery requires a buzzer code or unit number, please ensure this is included in your delivery instructions.
How much does local delivery cost?
Any orders within a 75 km radius of Almonte qualify for local drop-off.
0 to 25 km: FREE
25 to 30 km: FREE (We created this shipping zone as a buffer so addresses within 25 km of either outer boundary still qualify for free shipping.)
30 to 40 km: $3.99
40 to 50 km: $5.99
50 to 75 km: $7.49
What are your shipping rates for non-local orders?
If your delivery address is outside of our shipping radius (or if you are in-radius and prefer to have your order arrive to your postal box), Canada Post discounted Shopify shipping rates will be automatically calculated at checkout.
Small orders (under 2 cm and 100 g) will only be charged for an oversized stamp at CAD $2.75.
All orders over CAD $99 will ship free within Canada!
What is your return policy?
Items purchased from Purl House are returnable within 120 days of original purchase. Items must be unopened, unused, and in re-sellable condition. Freight costs incurred to send the item back to us are the responsibility of the buyer.
Once we have received your returned item, you will receive a refund for the applicable amount to your original payment method.

How can I suggest a yarn?
You can send us a request by filling out our contact form here.
We would love to hear your product suggestions for any yarns, tools or notions you'd like to see us carry. We are a new store with limited inventory and want to curate our expanded selection to the taste of our community.
Additionally, we are interested in introducing products from local indie spinners, dyers, or notion-makers. If you are interested in having us as a retailer for your products, we'd love to chat! Reach out to Natasha at natasha@purlhouse.ca or 613-690-5997.
How do I apply my discount code?
When you are ready to check out, click on the shopping bag icon in the top-right corner.
Click the black "Checkout" button.
You will be prompted to enter your shipping and payment information. On the right side of the screen, there is a text box labelled "Discount code or gift card".
Enter your code and hit "Apply". Your order total will be adjusted to reflect your discount.
