About the Owner
Hi, I'm Natasha
… the maker behind Purl House. I’ve been knitting since I was 14, when my grandmother first taught me how to cast on. What started as a quiet hobby quickly grew into a lifelong passion for creating, learning, and connecting with an incredible community of crafters.
I’m based in artsy Almonte, Ontario, where I live with my amazing fiancée, our Australian Shepherd and our cat. I’m currently working through Level 2 of the Master Hand Knitting Program with The Knitting Guild Association and I love continuing to challenge myself and refine my craft. I’m also part of a local knitting group and regularly enter my projects in agricultural fairs both of which keep me inspired and connected to the community.
I started Purl House as a way to share the yarns and tools I genuinely love the most with both my local community and the wider online makerspace.
Outside of Purl House, I work professionally as a CPA for a sports team. When I’m not working or knitting (which is rare), you can usually find me doing my makeup, cheerleading, or watching soccer.
Purl House is truly a labour of love, and I’m so glad you’re here. ♡
